Paint the Town is a traveling event that brings in local artists to design a mural that the community then paints. Various other events occur at the event including “Colorblast”, a clothing dye throwing area, and a “Freestyle” painting wall where everyone brings or purchases paints to freely create.
Paint the Town is meant to be an extremely tactile event. We wanted to let the attendees have a piece of the event. A dye-throwing event is held so everyone leaves with a one-of-a-kind custom t-shirt created by them and those around them.
To keep the fun going after the main event, the cover of the program is detachable. The attendees are encouraged to color it and use #paintthetown on social media to keep the event relevant year-round.
