I played Fortnite one day and was paired up against a bot player named DanglingKeys. Something about the name was so funny to me and I was shocked that it wasn’t taken.
I don’t know what compelled me to look up danglingkeys.com, but I noticed the domain was available so I bought it without a plan.
Years later, I started a build-your-own keychain bar on the side and thought this domain I had already had was perfect for this business.
Inspired by V-Tuber logos, I created the brand identity.
dangling keys is a build-your-own keychain bar setup that I bring to craft fairs around Minnesota. I designed and illustrated both 2D and 3D charms using a mix of various tools like Procreate, Womp3D, Adobe Illustrator.
Vending at craft fairs in person is always going to be the best way to experience dangling keys, but I wanted to take it a step further and build a website for people to build their own keychains online.
